the last one i actively enjoy is "dead & gone", the last one i can tolerate is "bye bye"

yeah, utterly terrible song

"Hot N Cold" is fantastic, definitely a top 5 Dr. Luke jam. and anyway tons better than the Katy Perry outtake that won the other poll by a much larger margin.

kelly had lesser competition

the radio station they play at my new job plays 'hot n cold' a couple times an hour and i've come around to it hugely in the past week, but still

there's something really robust about her delivery in the chorus that i had never noticed about it before. it's such a simple melody but she plows through it so confidently, it's huge.

hot n cold is just this.... cookie cutter electro that has sort of infested modern pop in the past 2 years & it's just totally unpleasant to me -- i can't stand that song or dr luke at all, really

the cookie cutter electro backing is really incidental to the appeal of it as a straight guitar pop song.

Dr. Luke is the best non-rap/R&B hitmaker of the past decade, full stop.

dr. luke's relationship with pop music in the last two years is like if you woke up with a wart on your dick, and then a year later the wart had become your dick

i'm totally skeptical dr. luke even more bcuz the songs of his that i think are classics are almost all co-written/prod w/ max martin, who is actually a total genius -- think dr luke might just be a hack

it's a total Danja/Timbaland thing in terms of the older guy being revitalized by the younger producer's input -- and like with them, the younger guy's solo productions have been way better since then than the older guy's imo, even with some of the shit Luke's been peddling lately

i mean MM's only really big recent hit w/o Luke is Britney's "3," fuck that shit.
