Another Night, Another POLL -- The Vol. 4 Dance Mix U.S.A. Trax POLL

No, this isn't for LOLs. The 90s thread got me thinking about innocuous, forgotten dance-pop songs that made its way onto twee and adult contemporary stations in the 90s, and well this compilation just has about em all, and a few I don't remember.

Be interested to see the arguments that will break out amongst some of these! So...which one is the best? Which one got you on the dance floor?

i personally hope it's Montell in a walk cuz that's a song I can still get down to. my last trip to Miami, of all the '90's' hits played, it got people dancingmore than any other

Gotta be Montell vs Bucketheads. And I'd find it hard to decide. Gonna think on it.

had to look it up on youtube as I know I knew their song but forgot which one it is. Coming back to me now!

OMG, this is almost impossible! "Rhythm of the Night" vs. "Find Me (Odyssey to Anyoona)" vs. "Moving on Up" vs. "Another Night" - all four are among the best singles of the 90s! Also, this sort of Eurodance isn't "fotgotten" and "twee", it's still classic!

I did a much more extensive poll a while ago though:

Montell, no question

they're all women so you'll probably like them (Noodle Vague), Saturday, 8 May 2010 00:16 (fifteen years ago)

from which I discover that Ice MC actually had another track (even a "hit") apart from "Cinema" ??!!

De que estas hablando? (Tannenbaum Schmidt), Saturday, 8 May 2010 00:18 (fifteen years ago)

Wtf is "Cinema"?! In Europe, Ice MC's big hits were "Think About the Way" and "It's Rainy Day". The coolest thing was that since they had the same melody, you could sing them together: "Think about the way, it's a rainy day..."

Tuomas, Saturday, 8 May 2010 00:23 (fifteen years ago)

Bom digi-digi-digi-digi bom-digi bom!

Tuomas, Saturday, 8 May 2010 00:23 (fifteen years ago)

"It's a Rainy Day".

hmmmm the radio nite remix of 'saturday night' is AMAZING. i am voting for whigfield even though i also love 'another night'. to be honest i never really liked the montell jordan track but maybe that's because i have bad taste :X

teledyldonix, Saturday, 8 May 2010 02:54 (fifteen years ago)

the best thing about 'saturday night' is that dance which consists of a repetition of 5 bars even though the song is clearly organized in 4 bar repetitions. it's kinda shitty but i love the way it puts the clapping part on different parts of the melody throughout the song. SUCH A GOOD SONG.

teledyldonix, Saturday, 8 May 2010 02:57 (fifteen years ago)

I vote Fun Factory. It has a melody that stays with you.

Pippi Longstockings (Brad Nowell's Soiled Undergarments), Saturday, 8 May 2010 14:36 (fifteen years ago)

Yeah I'm missing how these songs are twee.

Kevin John Bozelka, Saturday, 8 May 2010 20:15 (fifteen years ago)

Like somewhere between a few and a bunch of these, but for a winner I'm torn between Rednex and Montell. Guessing Rednex need my vote more; going with them.
