In my poll: Coldplay: A Rush of Blood to the Head poll

This is between Warning Sign and A Rush Of Blood To The Head, maybe Amsterdam. After the execrable Green Eyes this record belatedly becomes not-bad-at-all. Shame it gave us a load of fucking awful dross first.

i wanted to listen to this today (not sick that i know of) and decided to poll it. will vote afterwards but right now it's "Green Eyes."

i can see me hating "Green Eyes" now but at the time i love it.

"Politik", although the rhythm fixated members here will vote for "Clocks".

Their worst album IMO btw. (but still a marvellous album...)

As a rhythm-fixated member, I've voted for God Put a Smile. I also wish the rhythm section weren't so lumpy.

Voted for "Clocks" only because someone could do a terrific instrumental surf cover of it.

Though I was tempted to vote for "The Scientist" because Aimee Mann's version is aces.

I only know the singles. Clocks is easily the best of those.

At the time I liked Clocks but only because the verse reminded me so much of my favourite Erasure song.

I wasn't going to vote in this because I only know 'Clocks' and didn't like it much, but that post is like a red rag. I do hope James Brown put down a cover before he left us.

I voted for The Scientist. The video was shot at the same place where the start of Gladiator was filmed.

Voted "A Whisper" because it's a pretty shameless Radiohead rip-off. And that makes it better than most Coldplay.

'Green Eyes' 'cause it has aged better in my mind than 'Clocks' and it reminds me of a lovely lady w/green eyes.

'the scientist' was a great single -- voted for that. 'warning sign' is my second favorite. i like 'green eyes' better now than i did then.

"The Scientist" was my favorite at the time, but I "Clocks"' big stupid fucking trance riff sucked me in eventually.

"God Put a Smile Upon Your Face" is pretty good, too, or maybe the Mark Ronson version is just making me remember it more fondly than I would otherwise.

Boring old predictable "Clocks" for me. That and "God Put a Smile upon Your Face" and "The Scientist" and mayyyyyybe "In My Place" on a good day are the only ones I really liked. This album was such a huge letdown, especially since Parachutes was pretty much awesome song after awesome song after awesome song.

Surprisingly good spread. The ones getting 2nd, 3rd and 4th most votes are all great songs. (And, well, "Clocks" is a great song too, but still a bit too buildt around a repetitive "ostinato bass" for me to rank it among their better moments.
