The first dance album I ever bought. Holds up pretty well.

great album though hold by original belief that it is uneven but you are mad in saying that right time is better than all around the world

still have mad love for you can't deny it

I know this thread is about a different album but considering the relative lack of Lisa Stansfield threads ---

I noticed that on the 1991 Pazz & Jop singles poll, Lisa Stansfield's "Real Love" placed at #20. the reason this strikes me as odd is that its parent album yielded 6 charting singles, and the title track was not one of them. The album didn't place in that year's poll, and the only other Stansfield song to place in P&J was the very big hit "All Around The World" in 1990. Why would a Stansfield deep cut get 13 votes? Is it possible it's a typo and one of the hits from the album, say "Change" or "All Woman," was really what placed?

oh this was on the 1992 poll, not the 1991 btw

"All Woman" never crossed over; I didn't hear it at the time either. It's one of those songs that over the years people told me about and had to check out on my own.

yeah i know Real Love was not as big as Affection and none of its singles were as big as "All Around The World" -- but it still seems more plausible than a non-single
