it's fuzzy. it's so fuzzy and warm and smart i just woke up at 3am and listened to the whole thing on my headfones for no reason

Kate Bush vs. Breeders for me, went with the former -- though Pod is actually the Breeders' best album, and Kate's done better than The Dreaming, so now I kinda regret my vote. But, great albums both. Haven't heard the other three.

Of those? Definitely definitely Eight Arms! IV is a horrible recent album with just Louise Post. For the Masses, iirc, is a various artist comp of Depeche Mode covers so its really only one Veruca song.

i was listening to "Suspended in Gaffa" when i clicked this thread so that may force my hand a bit but there you have it

This combination of albums is interesting to me: I actually like, admire, and listen to the Kate Bush album, have heard but don't care about the Breeders or Mariah Carey albums, have heard one hit by Veruca Salt, and have never knowingly heard Cassie. I might try the Breeders again or give a listen to Veruca Salt some time. I probably shouldn't vote though.

I mean, if I tried to list five favourite albums, my list would probably be at least as idiosyncratic and evoke similar reactions. I think that's why I find this interesting.
