Start with Saint Vitus and Born Too Late I would expect one of those to win this poll. V probably 3rd.

Likewise. I actually picked up my first Vitus album about a week ago -- released on Southern Lord with black and gold, doom-y lookin' cover art. Liner notes say 1989. Assume it's a reissue of some sort?

Ahh... it might be a V reissue?

Methinks...

In 2004, Southern Lord Records (SUNN32) re-released this album on CD and LP.

Wikipedia does not lie.

I fully expect Born Too Late to run away with this poll.

Went for the s/t, unsurprisingly. I celebrate their entire catalogue, but the Wino was always kind of an odd fit - not to say the Wino albums aren't great, though!

indeed. I think the S/t might win this actually.

went withV. I think I'm burned out on Born To Late so can't fairly judge it.

EZ Snappin, Saturday, 15 May 2010 01:19 (sixteen years ago)

That one vote for C.O.D. was mine.

We support Saint Vitus in Portland and Seattle next month. Stoked!

Everyone thought others would vote for it so didn't = the story of ILM polls.

VEVC 2010

Subscribe now and receive new music on vinyl by artists such as: The Sword, Year Long Disaster, Saint Vitus, Best Coast, Jeff the Brotherhood, Dave Lombardo’s Philm, Earthless, Radio Moscow and more.

What’s up vinylholics!??!!

I figure now is as good a time as ever to spread the word about the latest Volcom Ent Vinyl Club subscription prescription for those in need of more great music on vinyl.

For starters I am proud to announce the first new release by Saint Vitus since reforming the legendary Wino-era lineup with new drummer Henry Vasquez. This is a first for VEVC as both sides of this disc feature classic Saint Vitus performed live… raw and raucous with extended guitar freakouts courtesy of Dave Chandler… expect special hand pressed splatter vinyl and almost 16 minutes of music on this bad boy. We are very proud to be a part of what will hopefully become the first in a series of DOOM METAL LEGACY editions for VEVC. Get stoked on Saint Vitus now and a get high quality download of their classic retrospective Heavier Than Thou courtesy of the band.

Here’s the link: http://www.thecmf.com/sv.zip

Also in the works is a rather interesting record spawned from the mind of one of HEAVY METAL’s most esteemed drummers, Dave Lomabrado. With one side by his long running side project Philm… (Dave also plays in this band Slayer… no big deal)… and the flip with a teaser from Lombardo’s forthcoming drum record… this one is sure to boggle the mind.

As an added bonus to you the loyal subscribers I’ve set aside a special gift for the next delivery. All the punters will be forced to pay, but you guys will get a special release 7” for free. I can’t say too much now, but be on the lookout for a freebie on the form of unreleased material from one of America’s biggest bands that starts with “Masto” and ends with “don”. For more clues check here: http://www.volcomtour.com/

In fact I have a lot of free stuff to spread around to members of the Volcom Ent Vinyl Club, but availability is limited to a first come, first serve basis while supplies last. Go here to order now:

Stay Cool,

Kurt
