it's kind of entertaining how half-assed the lineup is, rap's gotten so much more obsessed with remixes and getting the biggest stars to do versions of the biggest songs that the lineup would totally be objectively 'better' on a song like this in 2010 even if the track itself might not be

yeah, but i almost wonder if it was supposed to be Nelly then he couldn't do it...cuz then it would have been pretty much bigger icons from each region

well and also like...St. Louis wasn't even that big a deal even at the height of Nellymania, rap fans only know LBC because Snoop reps it specifically instead of L.A., and they could've had any number of actual rappers rep NY instead of Puff

compare to a few years later when Chamillionaire could do a whole remix with 5 rappers each for every region

OG is so much better than the remix, even JD's parts. I send a protest vote in Ludacris' direction

i'm not that crazy about the song in either form tbh. i like the original more but my favorite moment from either is the intro to the remix when JD chops the beat and there's a quick snippet of Luda saying the title.

original version is classic for all time and has prob my favorite Luda verse ever

the original is better...yet i love this version more....why i have no idea
