Don't forget Kaija Saariaho, she was taught by him too. She's incredible, probably my favorite composer currently active.

Why don't you post in the Classical listening thread, Scott?

Miles "Tails" Davis (Daruton), Sunday, 30 May 2010 02:56 (fifteen years ago)

i didn't want to clog it with youtubes. and i don't know much about the spectral or post-spectral music scene. (or even if that tag applies to half of this stuff.)

i'd like to hear more grisey. don't own anything by him. but, then, i am mostly a vinyl classical listener and a lot of his stuff is probably on cd.

Oh, I meant rather that you don't post there at all, not about Grisey/Spectralism in general. I don't know much about it either other than some stray pieces by Grisey and Murail, and some pieces by Horatiu Radulescu, so more from any of them would be nice to hear.

i did post on that thread at first, i've been really busy with other stuff. still been listening to a ton of classical vinyl. i'll post more when i get a chance. i've found some amazing records lately. both old and not so old.
