Here I go, here I go, here I go again! Picked this up recently and can't stop listening to it - one of the strongest hip-hop albums I've ever heard, track-for-track, and virtually no filler...but which track has you open like 7-11?

only heard the singles, which are yoga flame for all time... though it's a sample, the guitar/organ loop on 'whatta man' is perfect

Although Whatta man and none of your business are almost as amazing.

"Shoop" is awesome because it will make your girlfriend bump and grind all up on you.

Of course, "Shoop" is also dangerous because it will make your gay friends bump and grind all up on you, but that's mostly harmless.

"Shoop"

Love that Xgau put "I've Got AIDS" with "Shoop" and "Whatta Man" as his recommended tracks in his review.

sexy noises is the worst song

Yeah, it's probably the closest thing to a dud on this for me.

This album is sequenced really oddly in that all the singles are clustered together in the middle, which puts a lot of faith in the album tracks to keep up the momentum. Most of them do but when you hit a rough patch you suddenly feel very far from home.

yeah it's on this 2CD comp - Stax 50th Anniversary -- i got -- 2CDs of straight fire!

awesome coincidence, is the very next song on the comp was "Private Number" by William Bell and Judy Clay -- the origin of one of my favorite loops of all time (another one I didn't know the origin of)..."Playa's Club" by Rappin' 4-Tay!
