not my intention for the thread, but couldn't find one for him. he's been remixing quite a bit over the last few years, his No Comprendo mixes are pretty great and his Editions Disco releases were all really good.

figured he might deserve he own thread by now

that said, i did see purple rain projected at the hollywood cemetary a week or so ago, it was pretty epic

almost like a concert, people raised their lighters at the end for purple rain

his recent von spar remixes are great and the edit he did of ahmed fakroun is very very worth tracking down. thanks for linking to the mix!

i have a prince language mix from a few years back, "real music for real people" (awful title!). really good mix, lots of neo-soul tracks, but i guess he doesm't play much of that these days.

I don't think I realized "DJ Language" and "Prince Language" were the same guy. Looks like they are.

The Negroclash mix CD that him and Du4ne Harri0tt and DJ Linds3y released is one of my faves, weird that I can't find it on discogs (or anywhere really).

All of his edits on Editions Disco are cool. He did a nice dubby remix of The Rapture's "Get Yourself Into It" (their last really good song imo). Remix of Happy House is ok but not better than the og.

i really like his "45:33" remix, it might actually be my favorite out of that series

same, I think. really like his Happy House remix too, which is good, but not better than the og because for it to be better than the og would just a titanically unimaginable feat.

all of his No Comprendo mixes are really great too, available on lovefingers iirc

Yes! That DJ Duke track was probably the part of the mix I've gone back over the most. And believe you me, I wore this mix thin this summer (and never got even a bit sick of it).

With 4 months to go his Into the Night remix is my track of the year.

Technically released last year, but yes, I've listened to it a lot his year. I love the not-so-subtle allusions to Ralphi Rosario's "You Used To Hold Me"

I can't count how many times I've listened to it in the last week*. In fact, at this point I kind of have to stop myself, the track just affects me too much, it literally is nearly overwhelming.

* the only reason I found it this late is that, when rushing to the internet after hearing it out, I'd always get the (fairly lackluster [in my opinion]) original, or the (outright lackuster) Jaar remix. Had I known the prince did a mix I'd have jumped on it immediately. The man has a magic touch.
