TS: The Fucking Champs vs Scale the Summit

So I enjoy both IV and Carving Desert Canyons but get much more out of the Scale the Summit album. The more lyrical guitar melodies and more intricate interplay between the instruments impress me more than what I see as the more riff-oriented (math rock?) approach of the Champs. Anyone see it differently? How do the bands' other albums compare?

I had never heard of Scale the Summit, so I'm listening to this album on Spotify right now. So far it's WAY prettier and more expansive than the Champs stuff. The double tracked guitars are sounding pretty cool on that second track. Thanks for the tip, anyway...
