"Unhappy" is such a sad song to be the second one in the sequence.

Voted for "Rooster" ahead of "Bowtie."

Filmmaker, Author, Radio Host Stephen Baldwin (Alfred, Lord Sotosyn), Saturday, 26 June 2010 14:30 (fifteen years ago)

I think Knowing is tasty.

rhythm fixated member (chap), Saturday, 26 June 2010 14:32 (fifteen years ago)

"Ghetto Musick", with "Rooster" a close second.

EZ Snappin, Saturday, 26 June 2010 14:33 (fifteen years ago)

I like "Knowing" too. "War" and "Church" are the only slightly meh ones.

Filmmaker, Author, Radio Host Stephen Baldwin (Alfred, Lord Sotosyn), Saturday, 26 June 2010 14:33 (fifteen years ago)

this is ridiculously hard, there's at least six strong contenders

LAST CALL! YEAAAAAAAH!

samuel :D (a hoy hoy), Saturday, 26 June 2010 15:18 (fifteen years ago)

I think Bust is the worst - hip-hop guys using metally guitars is rarely convincing.

rhythm fixated member (chap), Saturday, 26 June 2010 16:24 (fifteen years ago)

i think tomb of the boom

johnny crunch, Saturday, 26 June 2010 16:33 (fifteen years ago)

titchy (titchyschneiderMk2), Saturday, 26 June 2010 16:37 (fifteen years ago)

horseshoe, Saturday, 26 June 2010 17:40 (fifteen years ago)

"Bowtie" is so much fun

~athdouspart (some dude), Saturday, 26 June 2010 18:42 (fifteen years ago)

bowtie is v good for car-dancing to ime, if you happen to be listening to it in a car.

horseshoe, Saturday, 26 June 2010 19:41 (fifteen years ago)

The Makavelian 7-Day Old (Whiney G. Weingarten), Sunday, 27 June 2010 03:39 (fifteen years ago)

i like this album a lot but couldn't tell you what any of these songs sound like outside of "The Way You Move"

The Makavelian 7-Day Old (Whiney G. Weingarten), Sunday, 27 June 2010 03:40 (fifteen years ago)

i dont know why that would be theyre super memorable pop songs dude

its like why GROCERY BAG and not saddam? (deej), Sunday, 27 June 2010 03:41 (fifteen years ago)

Beats the fuck out of me, dude. Also, I haven't heard in like 5 years

The Makavelian 7-Day Old (Whiney G. Weingarten), Sunday, 27 June 2010 03:43 (fifteen years ago)

"Tomb of the Boom" just barely over "Ghettomusick" and a few others. This album is great.

swvl, Tuesday, 29 June 2010 16:49 (fifteen years ago)

i, for one, love flip flop rock

horseshoe, Tuesday, 29 June 2010 16:51 (fifteen years ago)

It's fine except for the superfluous Hova cameo.

Filmmaker, Author, Radio Host Stephen Baldwin (Alfred, Lord Sotosyn), Tuesday, 29 June 2010 17:02 (fifteen years ago)

rooster over ghettomusick, bowtie and the way you move. i love this album and always felt bad big boi got overshadowed by the love below. (even tho i like love below too.)

suge ♞ (The Reverend), Tuesday, 29 June 2010 20:12 (fifteen years ago)

yeah i love the jay-z verse

horseshoe, Tuesday, 29 June 2010 20:37 (fifteen years ago)

Flip Flop Rock is what sold me on Jay-Z as actually being a good rapper with a sense of flow

(prob had only heard Izzo and his terrible version of Mundian To Bach Ke, and read a mountain of hype)

Still think it's a shame they didn't get him to re-record the hook when it turned out to be Big Boi and Killer Mike instead of Outkast though

(prob had only heard Izzo and his terrible version of Mundian To Bach Ke, and read a mountain of hype)

how does one achieve this?

The Reverend, Wednesday, 30 June 2010 02:12 (fifteen years ago)

Wanted to listen to this tonight but the new album leaked :/

this is definitive misusing of 'hype' here

blap...tremendo (deej), Friday, 2 July 2010 21:32 (fifteen years ago)

how does one achieve this?

maybe had heard Hard Knock Life too? that is awful tho

this is definitive misusing of 'hype' here

?

oh shit a ◕‿‿◕ (sic), Saturday, 3 July 2010 10:37 (fifteen years ago)

"hard knock life" is a classic and you are playing yourself if you think otherwise

motherfuckin henry (The Reverend), Saturday, 3 July 2010 11:49 (fifteen years ago)

Must've heard Big Pimpin.

rhythm fixated member (chap), Saturday, 3 July 2010 12:09 (fifteen years ago)

nup, not until a couple of years ago

Annie sucked hard in the first place.

oh shit a ◕‿‿◕ (sic), Saturday, 3 July 2010 15:51 (fifteen years ago)

I totally slept on Jay-Z for years until I heard someone blasting Hard Knock out of their car a couple years ago and I was just like "fuck, that is catchy". I still can't make it through an entire Jay-Z album but dude definitely has his moments. when he's on, he's on top.

has arlen specter never heard clarence thomas's laugh? (Shakey Mo Collier), Saturday, 3 July 2010 17:00 (fifteen years ago)

― oh shit a ◕‿‿◕ (sic), Saturday, July 3, 2010 6:37 AM (Yesterday)

it's a misusing of 'hype' because jay-z is not 'hyped' - he's been rapping for almost two decades and is recognized, his last three albums notwithstanding, as one of the best rappers ever.

with that said i don't care for "hard knock life" that much either

youngdel griffith (k3vin k.), Sunday, 4 July 2010 04:39 (fifteen years ago)

his last three albums notwithstanding

I still think American Gangster is up there in his top three or so albums, but what do I know?

ilxor has truly been got at and become an ILXor (ilxor), Sunday, 4 July 2010 04:43 (fifteen years ago)

i'll never, ever understand how ppl dig that album

his last two (and kingdom come) are offensively bad, but AG is seriously boring as shit, even tho the production is alright

hell hath no furry (J0rdan S.), Sunday, 4 July 2010 04:52 (fifteen years ago)
