What Song Would You Like To Discover A Corpse To?

I was reading an article somewhere recently, one of the Jackass guys I think, and he was talking about how an ex-girlfriend killed herself, he walked in to find her dead, and "Watching the Detectives" was playing. Now, surely "Allison" is more appropriate dead body discovery music?

So, what do you want to find the lifeless body of another to?

If I ever walked in on a dead body and either "Suicide Solution" or the Smiths' "Asleep" was playing, I'd want to kick the corpse for exhibiting a sublime lack of subtlety. [Note: well, maybe I wouldn't, but metaphorically at least.]

Sarcastic answer: "I ain't got no-body (just a gigilo)" by Louis Prima.
Real answer: something off a compilation of "contemporary Chritian" white gospel music. I've waited for years for some kid of a Promise Keeper family to kill himself WHILE LISTENING to that boring, soul-less, empty, vacuous music. If only to hear some PMRC/Eagle Forum drone have to explain away the idea that Gospel music "can inspire suicide just like an Ozzy or Judas Priest record."

The question presupposes you'd like to discover a dead body to begin with.

"The question presupposes you'd like to discover a dead body to begin with."

Doesn't, really. Presupposes you are finding a dead body and need a soundtrack. Maybe it's to take you away, maybe it's to embellish and intensify the experience.

I say anything offa side 2 of Low (Bowie) would cut it.

I think "Tatoo" from Tricky's Nearly God would set the mood nicely.

After years of watching the news, I have concluded that it is always the same person who discovers all the dead bodies - I don't know why the police don't suspect this man. Given what he always claims to be doing, it would have to be Rufus Thomas's 'Walking The Dog'.

Ha! what a great question! How about "Spectre Vs Rector" by the Fall or "Thank you for being a friend" by Andrew Gold for the discovery of a corpse in Dennis Nielson's house.

''Something by Labradford''

heard a track by Labradford (off 'E luxo so') in a movie called 'the pornographer' (in the sex scene though it isn't a porn movie).

'mildred pearce' by sonic youth would be perfect...great, suspenseful build up to coincide with the trail of rotting flesh my nose is a-following, then the unadulterated screaming at the end to mirror the horror of my discovery.
