i left out records he produced for other artists - i also left out radio boy's "Wishmountain Is Dead, Long Live Radio Boy" because it's mostly a variation on the wishmountainisdead album. i did include "Secondhand Sounds" just because it's great and it is essentially a Herbert album even if some of those original tracks were made by other people but i left out "Letsallmakemistakes" his mix CD, great as that record is.

i'm bound to have missed something...

full albums - maybe only the first roisin murphy record "ruby blue" but maybe there are others, it's hard to keep track of him.

I'm going with Music of Sound too. Amazing album. I do love 100lbs and the double remix compilation, but as a whole, Music of Sound is just untouchable.

ruby blue is the only herbert thing i've really enjoyed i think. i liked bits of one of the other ones i heard. i was kind of hoping there'd be other projects like that one.

Scale was definitely quite a singular record for him, being all "songs" rather than "tracks", but there are 5 albums in close contention for best.

Of the four that I know - Around The House, Bodily Functions, Plat Du Jour, One One - I'll go with Bodily Functions.
