Get the JPS boxset, its 5 CD's of early jazz and ragtime goodness. Then if you’re truly hooked and want to go totally hardcore, try out the Library of Congress recordings, it's just Jelly and his piano, playing, singing, and bullshitting. Oh, and Black Bottom Stomp is the shit!!!
