in the context of a teen film, the blur song plays when the male protagonist is gleefully walking away from his first date with the cute girl. a decent but kind of forgettable moment. the tal bachman song plays much later in the film, two weeks after the young couple have temporarily split, right when the male protagonist has his epiphany--"I LOVE THE CUTE GIRL AND I NEED TO GET HER BACK"

The official music video features Yvonne Sciò dressed in angel's wings and a leather pilot cap with aviator's goggles from the 1920s. Parts of the video were filmed in Calgary, Alberta. The song was originally written about Tal's now ex-girlfriend, Jennifer. Tal has repeatedly stated that the purpose behind Yvonne Scio's bizarre wardrobe was to mock Jennifer, who by the time of filming, had left him for his best friend, Bryan.
