Srsly digging this dude. I mean, aside from the super-slack choreography and the Toronto gay hipster charisma, dude has kinda a Patrick Wolf eats Deerhunter with a side of glammy attitude. Anyway, didn't see a thread for him, and thought he might be an appropriately divisive subject for ilx to dissect. He is as yet unsigned, though word is there's a deal in the works.

second song is pretty cool, i think i like it better -- sorta get a la roux vibe for some reason
only thing is that the opening piano bit is better than the whole song, also it sounds piano housey and consequently just makes me want to listen to piano house

I didn't immediately notice anything La Roux-y about Show Me Your Stuff, but maybe it's there and that's why I don't like it all. (Of course, house piano is an obstacle for me, but we've gone over that ad infinitum.)

He's wonderful, has a solid Patrick Wolf-y baritone and serious charisma once he's on stage. All Yr Songs is still his best one but I quite like Show Me Your Stuff and You Oughta Know. Curious to see what the rest of the LP sounds like.
