Trailer is semi-NSFW (brief corpse boob). Any idea what song plays throughout the trailer? It's not from the (Metal Blade / Slayer-heavy!) soundtrack LP.:

god I love this movie

can't really hear the track in question tho

It's really aggravating - you can hear the riffage in the quieter parts of the trailer, but the (vaguely-Echo & the Bunnymen-ish?) vocals are always covered by dialogue.

Something by Agent Orange?

WOOD! GOBLINS! (NickB), Thursday, 15 July 2010 16:31 (fourteen years ago)

Hmm... cross referencing on Spotify right now and they definitely sound similar, but nothing on their LPs that would match-up time-wise seems to fit. Anybody else got any ideas? Thanks!!!

I wouldn't go by track length if that's what yr referring to by "time wise" - things get chopped/edited/extended for film

Major Lolzer (Shakey Mo Collier), Thursday, 15 July 2010 23:15 (fourteen years ago)

There's an Agent Orange song on the soundtrack - that's probably what it is.

Great movie - wish it was in print on DVD.

Major Lolzer (Shakey Mo Collier), Thursday, 15 July 2010 23:22 (fourteen years ago)

holy shit, it's Leslie Arzt

(the character from Lost - nothing to do with the song. sorry!)

I don't think it's the agent orange track from the soundtrack

Used to have this soundtrack on vinyl. Became a lifelong Hallows Eve fan after one play of "Lethal Tendencies."

This movie is totally available on DVD. I own a copy.

No idea what that song is, though, sorry.

I didn't ask the question, but thanking u for the answer. I'm into this!

Simply for the record and to clear up my own badly-phrased post, I meant time-wise in terms of the years that Agent Orange released LPs, not time-wise in terms of track lengths. But that's irrelevant now, because holy shit - thanks a million, contenderizer! And that YouTube makes it a million times better! Seriously, thanks so much...

I have the DVD as well, it remains my favourite film of the 1980s...the town I grew up in looked exactly like the place in the movie (but sans the dead girls), so naturally I connected big time with this flick when I was 15. Knew more than a few Laynes in my headbanger days 25 years ago. Sadly no Clarissas.

hard to tell if it's in print or not, there are copies on Amazon (maybe old stock?) but you can't get it on Netflix

maybe my favorite Crispin Glover role

"FOOD-EATER!"

They've been running it for the last 2 months pretty regularly on MGM HD in the UK, and it looks amazing. It really is an incredibly unique movie.

Becky Facelift, Friday, 16 July 2010 11:47 (fourteen years ago)

Best song in that movie is the last: Hank Ballard's "I'm Gonna Miss You."

Jazzbo, Friday, 16 July 2010 12:12 (fourteen years ago)

Lots of third-party sellers have copies cheap, but the DVD is actually out of print.

Funny that a movie about metal kids turned me into a Hank Ballard fan.

Would vote Wipers. xp

Same with me. That's my favorite HB song, yet it's hard to find. It's not on the soundtrack album and doesn't turn up on most of Ballard's comps.

Jazzbo, Friday, 16 July 2010 13:09 (fourteen years ago)

I know, I had to track down a UK single-disc comp on Charly called Let 'Em Roll (now out of print) to get both it and "Let's Go, Let's Go, Let's Go" (which is also in the movie).

"FOOD-EATER!"

this has become a common insult/in-joke in my family
