Really dug a few songs on Living With... when it came out, but something about the Quadron album unlocked the whole thing.

Yeah, Living With... wasn't perfect by any means. But now that he's kind of refined the idea with Quadron, I'm really excited about whatever the next Owusu & Hannibal album is.

All this time I thought the Coco in Parallel Dance Ensemble and the Coco in Quadron were the same Coco. Turns out they aren't! Robin Hannibal just likes to work with talented women named Coco it appears.

okay, i love this

yeah, i'm enjoying this as an album. a few clunkers but overall worth repping for.

Yeah this is great. I didn't really get into the first album apart from a few tracks (mainly Slippin') but this one I enjoyed all the way through. A couple of times her vocals reminded me of Syreeta which is obviously no bad thing.

what a splendid voice this lady has. so expressive and rich.

yeah this album is just lovely basically - a bit unlike the debut which worked really well as an overall mood piece (several of the strongs were song obv but none overshadowed the album, and i always listened to it as a whole); here, "hey love" is the obvious Big Tune and the mood is much less heavy/sultry, more playful (ie i doubt this'll be my go-to album for summer hangovers like the debut was). but it's great, yeah

I really like the album, it is a lot better than the Rhye album. She can *really* sing.

This album is creeping up my albums of the year list every time I play it.

2.25 into Crush is probably my favourite bit of music this year. It's Gonna Get You is possibly my favourite song, it reminds me so much of the first two Syreeta albums. Avalanche is another great one, beautiful end to a really great album.

saw them tonight in a tiiiiny venue in belleville. woah! coco can saaaang. she did an incredible cover of lauryn hill's "ex-factor". also went on a strange rant early in the show thanking everyone for letting her music spread via word-of-mouth and not through her "getting naked on a wrecking ball".

album is still v. enjoyable.

coco is a monster live no doubt.
i gave her a bowl i threw when she played out at $ummer$tage and got hugs. def high point of the season.

Not only is Coco such a star but she has great taste in men too.

Was in a coffee shop in Salt Lake City last week, glorious spring day, some kind soul playing the second album on repeat.

I used to play Avalanche a lot in the coffee shop I worked in at the time of its release.

Avalanche is just about a perfect record. I'm ready for more.

So - it looks like Quadron are on hiatus for the time being, but Coco O. put a 2-song EP called Dolceaqua out on Friday.

The arrangements are probably just a little too temperate for my taste but at the same time she's the sort of singer who sounds nice over anything.
