YOSO Performs US Summer Shows

DATE ADDED FOR AUGUST 13TH IN NJ

HOLLYWOOD, CA (July 21, 2010) – The term “Super-Group” describes a band rising out of two of the most creative bands of the past 30 years: YOSO is formed out of TOTO’s brilliant lead vocalist Bobby Kimball and the creative force of former YES members, Tony Kaye and Billy Sherwood, thus equalling the magic of YES with the voice of TOTO. However, YOSO is much more than a combination of two classic rock groups. The band’s debut album “Elements” will debut July 2nd in Europe and July 23rd in the USA on Frontiers Records. This long awaited release comes with a bonus live CD where the band plays some old and new classics. This musical blend presents a fascinating combination of the sound of YES ("90125"/"Big Generator" era) and TOTO, with a very interesting and original sound that truly encompasses the styles.

For touring in support of Elements, the band have announced a couple new members. Joining Kimball, Sherwood and Kaye will be drummer Scott Conner (of Genesis tribute band Gabble Ratchet) and guitarist Johnny Bruhns (of Yes tribute band Roundabout). Live, the band play a mixture of classic Toto songs, Yes songs (mainly from 90125, on which Kaye performed) and Yoso material.

Like fuck did he play on that album, the only reason he was involved was because they needed a certain amount of original members to be able to use the Yes name. Trevors Horn and Rabin played all the keyboards I think, apparently Tony Kaye was largely miming on the subsequent tour too (I could be wrong about that bit admittedly).

Nah, the dregs of the dregs would be the keyboard players son and a singer from a tribute band, which funnily enough is who Yes are using at the moment.

Pretty much OTM though. Eddie Jobson was originally going to be the keyboard player on tour (he's in the "Owner Of A Lonely Heart" video) but dropped out because of that minimum/quorum of Yes members requirement.
