To answer the original question - can't be anything other than classic in my mind but that's not why I'm here.
I'm here because I just found something amazing and thing is Billy Idol's outfit in the following video:

and some later songs too including "Dancing with Myself" (till I got sick of that one)

Anyone know where else I can find on CD the version of "Gimme Some Truth" that's on the U.S. edition of the debut? The CD of the U.S. edition of the debut is hard-to-find and very expensive, but every other CD with "Gimme Some Truth" uses a different, inferior performance.

There's a couple of studio versions of "Gimme Some Truth", there's the 2:53 version recorded during the first album sessions and there's a 2:24 version recorded during the "Valley Of The Dolls" sessions. Which one are you looking for?

Might be the "2:53" version, but per Wikipedia, the track is an "outtake from TW Studios sessions" and runs 2:48.
Unfortunately the old US CD of the debut's US configuration seems to be the only source. From the Steve Hoffman forum, the same take was later reissued in 2019, but mixed differently.

Timings are approximate, I have the original CD with the longer version. ILXmail me if you want an MP3.
