Truth Hurts - "Addictive"

This may have been done, but I couldn't find it. This tune (which I suddenly realized before posting sounds a little like "Oops (Oh My)") has got an interesting chorus, and understated production. When I first heard it, it didn't really seem pop to me. Also, the way the singer is describing her man, it sounds a lot like young girls defending their guys on Springer or some such "issues" kind of show. And I guess this is common, but I never noticed how closely the things you see on those kinds of shows end up in songs. So, I guess talk about this song, or about Springer-issues as pop.

Can't stand it. Makes me foam at the mouth and gnash my teeth.

There is another thread on this dominique (still in New Answers - about 2/3 of the way down if you're interested) but that one is mostly about the Bollywood song on the backing track. I don't think it goes much into the song in the foreground at all, certainly not the lyrics. Your Jerry Springer angle is a new one, I think.

(rather frustratingly, I still haven't heard this properly; caught the last half once on MTVE, waiting for it to come 'round again)

Oops! I knew I had seen it. Anyway, if you're not answered out on this one, feel free.

Yes, Albert Marcoeur thanks him for assisting my purchase of his record.

is she saying anything that people don't say in actual conversation about someone they're obsessed with or something? why does it suddenly become springer-like to hear it in song form?
