CDS: 42, not including singles but including Mark. E Smith (Post Nearly Man). Also, I have not bought a live Fall CD in more than 10 years! I don't have 'Room To Live.' I was so excited when it first came out on CD but I was then infuriated that it was made directly from a scratchy lp that I never bothered to buy it when it was reissued again and again (with presumably better source/remastering?) Same with 'In A Hole,' which actually had skips from the vinyl preserved in the shitty first cd reissue.

I own about a hundred Fall items, maybe 65 CD/30 vinyl/5 DVD & DVD-audio, plus a few CD-R boots. For a couple of years I guess I was headed toward getting more or less everything, but these days I stop short of picking up most new compilations and archival live albums. But then there seems to be less superfluous Fall product being issued these days than there was around 1995-2005.
― eatandoph, Saturday, 7 August 2010 15:23 (fifteen years ago)
I used to own everything through The Unutterable in college (except oddly Shift-Work). Most have been pruned to a bunch of mix-CDs, but I still have my genuine purchased CDs of Live At The Witch Trials, Totale's Turns, Grotesque, Early Fall, Slates/A Part Of America Therein, Hex Enduction Hour, This Nation's Saving Grace, and In The Palace of Swords Reversed. Just tossed Perverted By Language and 458489ASides.

I counted once and got to 20, though I don't remember if I was just counting albums or singles too (only have maybe 4 or 5 singles). May have a couple more since then. Possibly the only band you can own 20 releases by and still feel like a mere ignorant dabbler in the face of TRUE FAN opinion.
(Well, I guess there are some more of those in ILM-land, but this may be the only one where I actually meet said true fans in real non-internet life from time to time and make the mistake of acknowledging one of their references, only to be shown up by further obscurantism.)
