If you're not following http://twitter.com/discographies you should. Entire artist discography summations in 140 characters or less. All of them have been pretty funny (Elvis Costello, Roxy Music, Smashing Pumpkins being my faces) but today's post gave me a colossal laugh attack.

Where is the ILM love for this twitter feed?!
The Police: "Suspects were arraigned & charged with [1-3] attempted reggae, impersonating a punk, [4] aggravated pomposity & [5] stalking."9:49 AM Oct 15th via web

coldplay one is genius. Colplay: 1-4 "Imagine a sturdy, comfortable walking shoe (in focus-group tested shades of beige) gently tapping on a human face — forever."
― cajunsunday, Sunday, 17 October 2010 20:46 (fifteen years ago)
The REM one's a classic:
REM: 1-3 "I can't hear you!" 4-8 "Yeah, you sound clearer now." 9-10 "I'm losing you." 11-13 "You're breaking up!" 14 "I heard you already."

Also:
Weezer: 1 "Remember that nerdy guy from high school?" 2 "The one who couldn't talk to girls?" 3-7 "Why are you still hanging out with him?"

i don't really know what it is apart from a total reliance on received wisdom - like, you could basically come up with these judgments if you'd just read what the consensus on all these albums is; i don't believe whoever's behind it has actually heard them all.

oh god i just had an epiphany about why i hate comedy so much, it's that exact same thing, "everyone thinks like THIS, right? everyone thinks THIS is funny, right?"
