This is "Slow Jamz" in a fucking walk.

spicy racist sauces (Matos W.K.), Wednesday, 18 August 2010 23:27 (fifteen years ago)

My local pop critic loved how Jet had brought "real" rock with "attitude" back on the charts.

That's like a Mad Lib, Alfred. You could do it with every single band, each with its own local pop critic who etc.

Sorry, every single rockisback band.

Yeah, "Slow Jamz." But my #2 is Jessica Simpson!

Well, sure. The difference with this guy -- who loved Stephen Malkmus and Jay-Z -- is his enthusiasm was enough to get him the lead review when the Strokes-Vines-Hives failed.

"long black train" in a walk

be my anchor baby (J0rdan S.), Thursday, 19 August 2010 03:40 (fifteen years ago)

it's hilarious that you scroll down this list like "god, this is all fucking crap..." and then the last two are 10/10 classics

be my anchor baby (J0rdan S.), Thursday, 19 August 2010 03:40 (fifteen years ago)

don't sleep on "gangsta girl" tho

"got her singing 'the greatest sex'"

z_s.gif (The Reverend), Thursday, 19 August 2010 09:13 (fifteen years ago)

it's very demonstrative of both how amazing R. Kelly's 2003 was and how it kind of petered out toward the end that he wrote like 4 of the songs on this list but none of them is really one of his best.

"Slow Jamz" is obviously classic but I'm gonna vote for Bow Wow's "My Baby" because I just wrote something recently about how underrated and great it is.

(no one likes that song?)

it's still "slow jamz" tho

k3vin k., Sunday, 22 August 2010 23:43 (fifteen years ago)

the first time i heard that jet song was that xmas when some of my younger cousins were playing madden and i heard that song and thought it was just an incredibly unintentionally hilarious generic 'rockisback' song on the soundtrack, then a month or two later i heard it on the radio and realized it was a 'real' song and thought it was even funnier.

balls, Monday, 23 August 2010 03:08 (fifteen years ago)

it's more fun than any of the other big rockisback joints
