this. and i only first heard it yesterday, the once, and not since - it's pretty ridiculous

fancier new video kinda mirrors the rap's lackadaisical endearingness & the song's general peculiar radio incongruity - half-assed college plot, palm tree in front of a brit red phonebox (?), dramatic girls furiously dancing in the rain to god knows what but def not this

i've mentally put this alongside greg nice's "this that shit" in oddly retro-sounding laid-back good-times jams from this year. love it.

why does everyone on party/dance rap songs these days sound so bored? not asking for everyone to sound like mystikal or busta rhymes but damn you used to at least be able to count on ringtone rappers to come off happy or excited.

nah you were totally right the first time, although you should listen to it again anyway cos the sleepyness is the charm people are finding in it. also you could kinda pretend kells is signing the hook?

the general point stands though, it's interesting. like i was loving jeezy's 'ji... er, the song 'jizzle' by the rapper young jeezy, but it still very obviously felt a little out of touch with the modern swag, with or without jon. reflex cool reaction to fraught dramas of radio eurodance jacking i guess?
