RFI: Jurgen Vries "The Theme"

you haven't answered this Siegbran! in fact, have you ever been on ILE??? i seem to remember all your posts being on ILM. sorry if i'm wrong...

I have, but it's still pretty empty, figured I'd get more response here.

Anyway, "The Theme" is quite remarkable. It doesn't sound like anything else at the moment, and has this really, really infectious 'wailing synth' hook which has the feel of a guitar/synth hybrid with the vibrato controls gone crazy. Can't describe it any better but it's 'different' enough to grab an audience outside the clubs.

The drum sound is like something Darren Tate would produce, so perhaps he's got something to do with this. But "Jurgen Vries" sounds Dutch...

I just found out this is Darren Tate. Top tune, anyway, although perhaps a bit more bass heavy production would've made this even better. A DJ Scot Project or Yoji Biomehanika remix should be interesting...
