A song called 'Bardot' by an act called Pearl?

this track was played a lot by XFM just over a year ago but I dont think it got a proper release. I am pretty sure I've got the title and artist right - and it definitely doesnt sound like that Australian Popstars outfit Bardot

the track is 100bpm or so, has a subtle orchestral styling and the lyrics went something like "...../walking along, singing a song" sung by two females - there wasnt much of a chorus as such as i recall - only a break in which a male voice then spoke in a camp british accent ".../big men cry out just like babies, just to catch a glimpse"

what happened to this song and where can i get it/hear it again?!

I do know what you are talking about. Had Rhys Ifans doing the talking bits... think it might've been on Wichita, though maybe I'm confusing them with Ruby. Rather quality though.

And apparently Pearl herself is/was in someway attached to Danny Goffey out of Supergrass. So's you know.

with the recent stories re pearl/danny and the associated world of heat and gossip, does this mean this track will now get released - or has it already ..

i have the 4 track promo and amd contemplating fleecing some eby freaks for all its worth .. ie 99p.

will sort out lo-tech mp3 next week if you're still interested (my machhine only goes up to a meagre 56kbps bitrate). just dug it out and the bardot track is actually a lot of fun ..

She's got a multi-pager in Glamour magazine and says she hasn't got a label yet, but the interview was done just before the Daddy Gavin story broke so this may have changed.
