will history remember BADGEWEARER?

and if history does remember badgewearer, will it remember them fondly? what have the guys get up to since? (or are they still going, even?). I remember going to see tortoise in town one hot summer night about 5 years ago i had flu tortoise were quite dull and ploddy with their trademark pretty dumdumdum but unimpressive . I went to see badgewearer at the same venue the day after I was feeling even worse but BOYOBOY they blew me away like no-one else. screw don caballero & mahavishnu for "math" rock, this was a level higher in that scritchy scratchy scots jitter style we all know and love. does anybody remember?

weren't badgewearer a circa 1990 indie band? in fact, they've just reminded me of something else, but i'll do a new thread for that

you could've called them "indie" when they were doing "rod stewart's penis" etc. they got increasingly fractured & jaggedy as they went on

I seem to recollect having a 7 by them called "this bag is not a toy"..... Have to say it wasn't very good...

yeh - the early "shambling" stuff with saxophone wasn't too revelatory, but - seriously they got REALLY REALLY good in a big flame to the power of x kinda way.
