Anybody hear this/pick it up yet?
On first listen, I think it's good -- "Devils", "Betrayed", and "What I Learned from the Streets" are grim tracks, but there are uptempo bouncy numbers, including the novelty song "Cartoon", or "Calling Me".

i want to hear this but what's on it & when was it recorded? also are there lil phat verses on every other song?
― a sean te (samosa gibreel), Tuesday, 28 September 2010 18:04 (fifteen years ago)
Lil Phat appears just once. from what I heard, he finished laying down his part of the album in the days before he was sentenced last year (not entirely sure if that's accurate though).
Tracklist is here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Incarcerated_(album)
Had no idea he is suspected of five murders -- possibly going to get the death penalty. Have any other rappers been executed on death row?

I wonder if the DAs are using the cds as evidence
― u r no man, take the balls (San Te), Tuesday, 28 September 2010 18:18 (fifteen years ago)
that he is incarcerated? ya probably
― a sean te (samosa gibreel), Tuesday, 28 September 2010 18:25 (fifteen years ago)
more like evidence of his murders
"as you can see here, or hear here for that matter, at the 4:33 mark, the defendant refers to another gentleman who he claims to have left "leaking", which I presume is ghetto slang for shooting. Clearly this proves his character has the capability of murder."

"Do It Again" is a surprisngly sensitive and self-deprecating track. a great tune.

wow this is an amazing letter. boosie wrote this to a young fan who's parents said he was smoking weed and misbehaving because he looked up to boosie, boosie wrote him from jail:

"betrayed" is such a massive song --- I have jammed that more than anything on this record, the whole praying to God to make you cold-hearted thing kills me ---
― onlydarkness.com, Tuesday, 27 September 2011 18:40 (fourteen years ago)
yeah i mean -- there's a level of emotional resonance and sincerity in boosie's music that i just don't get out of almost any of his peers, makes me even more sad about his life and career going so far off track
― some dude, Tuesday, 27 September 2011 18:45 (fourteen years ago)
