song titles (with brackets): C/D?

this might have been done before - what do you guys think of song titles with a part in brackets?
If you feel that part should be in the title, why do you need brackets for? or is it a trick of the record company to include part of the chorus fearing the record-buying would not recognise the song otherwise?

my band has a song called "i've got (this girl)" and we thought it was kind of funny at the time for some reason

barring cases of extreme pretentiosity like hail to the thief i think this is a cool way to name songs
