Talking Heads 'Fear of Music' v AC/DC's 'Blow Up Your Video'

'FoM' has been described here as definitive prescient 9/11/WW3 statement, but what about this marginal entry in the AC/DC canon? Of course there's the obvious ("Heatseeker", "This Means War"), but also oblique comment on US foreign policy in "Meanstreak" ("I been to the left/ I been to the right/ I found myself in Abu Dhabi in a mirage in the night"), and the album title is right out of Noam Chomsky

two years pass...
the album title is right out of Noam Chomsky

so OTM it's hilarious.

and while i vote for fear of music, ac/dc never gave the world a song as irritatingly bad as "animals."

Wrong. "Money Talks" is dreadful.

man, AC/DC diehards fucking hate that song, don't they?

As well they should.

I dunno. There's worse stuff on 'Back in Black,' which gets a little sludgy compared with 'Highway to Hell.'

There's worse stuff on 'Back in Black,'

No there isn't. This is an incorrect statement.

I'd pay five bucks to hear AC/DC cover "Animals," truthfully.
