I write 'groovy-est' to distinguish from 'grooviest' - because I mean this record is just groove groove groove! David Briggs, Kenny Buttrey, Charlie McCoy... damn.

Never heard their second album - any good?

Second one's good too. I like the first better, but I had it for a good while before I heard the second so there's definitely some bias. I tracked the debut down when Bubba Sparxxx sampled them for "Jimmy Mathis."

Trip in the Country is my favorite of the two. It may say something about country music in general that such a genuinely innovative record is all instrumental?
