tbh the records' version doesn't really work for me

the guitar in tim moore's i like, and the enthusiastic piano, weirdly plodding pace works for me somehow

Love the Rollers' version, the only one I was familiar with. The others seem a bit plodding by comparison. I thought about working up a more roots-rock arrangement with my band and calling it Rockabilly Love Letter.

There's a version by the Scratch Band on their S/T from '78 - my favourite, I think. It's not on youtube unfortunately.
