I ended up on a site called you be the critic (http://www.youbethecritic.com/) where you rate and review and unreleased album from a band (in this case 30 Seconds to mars). It looks like retailer Best Buy runs it (there are links to there sites + a coupon for doing a review). but here's how they describe it in their faqs: ""You Be the Critic is a new music preview and criticism Web site. Users will have an opportunity to hear yet-to-be-released, or just-released, music and then review and comment on what they've heard. These reviews will be posted on the site for other Critics to see and will also be passed along to the band and their label to aid in their quest to reach fans and their promotional processes. (Keep in mind, we'll share all the info you offer up, EXCEPT for your name and e-mail address.) ""
So what's the point of the site? Is it promotional for Best Buy or is it a label thing (since they get the feedback but not your email that seems weird)? What are they going to do with the feedback -- build a better band? Like Frankenband? Or is it just some electronic focus group?
