there's also the one on the car advert or summat.. the 'i'm sticking with you, cos i'm made out of glue..' one which everyone everywhere is singing.

but that one doesn't have robots and big headphones in.

Isn't it Plastic Bertrand - Ca Plane Pour Moi? That was Clarkes I think.

And I'm pretty sure the other one is Velvet Underground... not sure of the title though.

You have Clarkes commercials over there? Interesting. The other song is called I'm Sticking With You from the album called VU (a collection of prevously released material); I think VU's catalogue now must be comprised of at least 3/ 4 previously unreleased material. I think it's Moe Tucker singing. It's a great song, I can't believe they put it on a commercial, I'm kinda glad I don't have to see it, but then we did have Lou Reed in the '80s with his Honda commercials. Lou Reed = media whore? I'd like to see John Cale endorse a viola or something for his commercial... Sorry, as for song you really want to know about, I have not a clue...

I think the one you like is OMD's 'Electricity'

christ, don't tell me i've just admitted to liking an OMD song.. it does sound sort of like a proto-fischerspooner, only without the SSS Suicide-solution add ons.

did OMD actually do anything of worth, musically? i only remember them for their drab nineties 'comeback'.

I think they did a few other quite good tracks,I had 'Architecture & Morality'years ago which had 'Souvenir' & 'Maid of Orleans' on it,I can't remember if they were any good or not-I'll have to check them out again.
