Turning the topic around, there was a Jamaican fellow who used to do the train announcements at Finsbury Park. He sounded a bit like Linton Kwesi Johnson, but even deeper, more mournful, and as I listened to him, I'd imagine the rhythm tracks behind his announcements "Hornsey, Haringey, Alexandra Palace..."
