Really happy to be able to 'replace' my crappy mp3 of Cowley's edit of "I Feel Love". I think that gets my vote but I'll verify by listening to the entire compilation while I paint my new house in the coming week..

This is unbelievably impossible.

My personal favourite keeps changing on a daily basis - Big Fun is looking good for it right now but I bet the next time I hear the intro to Tom's Diner or the chimes in Rapture I'll end up switching. Listening to this on the bus to work on shuffle is making every day start like the best party ever.

Too hard. The only one which has never, ever let me down DJing though is S'Express.

nah, that track is overplayed but it's still amazing until the rap comes in, and the rap itself is so ludicrously funny that it only heightens enjoyment

If I were voting from an objective/historical/scholarly perspective, Chic would have my vote, but I'm not, so then: Blue Monday, the coldcut remix of Paid in Full, Groove is in the Heart & Loaded? beware of exploding brain.

On mature, non-hungover reflection I might've been a little OTT in my Chic fundamentalism, i.e. there's a shitload of great stuff on here. There's still a few tunes I don't really need to hear any more, or a couple where I don't think that particular mix is the best iteration of it. I know why "Killer" is classic but fuck it, it's way too lumpen for the dance floor, The 12-inches of "S Express" and "Step On" don't add much imo. "Loaded" was done by 1994.

I voted "Good Times" but about 30 seconds later I sorta wished I'd voted "Greatest Dancer".
