New novel is finished, based on Depeche Mode aesthetics and trauma recovery techniques--it's a mystery sorta.
I'm a major RAMMS+EIN apologist (although not sure for what), favor low, rumbling things, Alan Sparhawk's guitar sound, Basic Channel, and high voices, often female.

Ah, I should have visited this thread before barging in and making myself at home.
I'm a 20-something, newly minted B.Ed grad who's avoiding his profession at all costs. I lurk more than I post, but it gets cold here in Ontario, so eventually I'll be cooped up inside and bored enough to write more.

Hi my name is Christian E. I live in Paderborn, Germany. I'm an undergraduate in computer science and a passionate hobby musician.I wouldn't say I favor or scorn any kind of music, though I'm currently more into reggae music e.g. Groundation. I also like the Dave Matthews Band (which is mostly the reason I found this board :>). I also like to ressurect threads from the dead.. that's pretty much what I've been doing since I got here. ty for showing me the way Pfunkboy

Hi, I'm Dan - I've been reading here for a while & posting occasionally, but I never actually bothered to introduce myself. Here I am! I'm 31, I live in Queens, NY, and I'm in publishing. Lately I've been into the Juan Son album & the new Cio D'Or records. My last.fm can be perused here. That's all!

Hi I'm Patrick, started reading ILM years ago (2002 or 3). found this place after I googled for reviews of the version of Ludacris' Southern Hospitality with Ms Dynamite doing a guest verse, found one on the now-defunct spizzazzz.com, and discovered music blogs. been lurking off and on since then, very occasionally putting a word in but never introducing myself, til now... sorry about that. hello!
about me: Dubliner, 31 years old, used to be a lawyer til I quit this summer. now doing a masters in music and media technology (http://www.mee.tcd.ie/mmt/).

ah hello, my name's sam. been awkwardly posting here for the better part of the past year, so here goes an introduction. i work part-time as a poster artist and childcare worker in montreal. i'm also in a couple bands and am a student. i listen to most things at least a little bit, but mainly it's between pop, garage punk, hip hop and rn'b these days. and i'm slowly and cautiously edging myself towards dance music.

Greetings - Finally took the plunge about a month-&-a-half ago. I've always appreciated the camaraderie, information-sharing, and humor that generally goes on at this site.
Age: North of 40. Rapidly becoming an anachronism technologically (still buy cd's, have never owned an mp3 player, much less an iPod). Married. Live in WA State/Puget Sound area (daily ferry commute to Seattle). Not currently following my bliss, just paying the bills. Stopped stuffing shims in my generation gap, and have been trusting that the kids are alright, without trying to keep up with it all.
First concert: The Police & the Fleshtones, SF Cow Palace, 1982. Latest one: Yo La Tengo, end of October.
Random trivia: After seeing the film 'You Can Count on Me', a number of friends (& my wife) independently declared the uncanny resemblance in look, voice, & gestures I shared with director Kenneth Lonergan, who made a cameo as a priest in the movie.
Cheers!
