Are people having problems with Soulseek screwing up their computers?

I'm new to it and I downloaded it and the trouble began. It started freezing then the blue screen of death. It would not even start up. Finally, it started up and I uninstalled it, now everything is fine.
Anyone having the same problem? Am I doing something wrong?

Peace!

the only problems i've ever had with it are a couple of times when it couldn't find the main server.

Problems galore, crashes, freezes, despite numerous attempts I've failed to download a single mp3. Frustrating.

The only problem I know of is that there's just 24 hours in a day, I need more time to download EVERYTHING. :)

Okay and 8 out of 10 people are unable to download stuff from my computer.

Wait until SoulSeek 3.0
They should've worked out the bugs by then.
Unfortunately, by then, the RIAA would've worked their way down the list of P2Ps and SoulSeek will be the next one in their gunsights.

i haven't been able to log into it for the last few weeks... can't seem to find a server to connect to. which is too bad, as it's a fine programme... i do miss audiogalaxy, though!

cecilia check out www.slsk.org instead of www.soulseek.org and get the latest version to connect.

I believe it's also a memory hog, so it may cause other problems.

I'm not quite sure if it was the direct cause of the crash, but when I downloaded Soulseek, I had so much problems with it (not being able to download, freezes, blah blah) that I had to uninstall it. Later, when I turned the computer back on, I found that Windows had crashed and needed to be reinstalled before I could access anything. It was a major pain in the ass. Needless to say, I've pretty much given up on MP3s file sharing programs such as that. Sigh.
