(Another poster brought up a good point -- since Draft 7.30 didn't have an accompanying EP, we can burn through the two Peels this week.)

Spookiness of "Milk DX" does it for me, every time, plus: scratching! "Drane" is really good, though, on proper speakers (the sharpness of the sprinkler effect used to hurt my ears on headphones).

Draaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaane

is near perfection. Just a scant handful of simple elements but I lose myself in its oceanic depths every time.

Huh, must've forgot to hit the "Vote" button.

leTeReL (Leee), Friday, 3 December 2010 05:45 (fourteen years ago)

ha, just listening now. and drane's going to have to go some to beat the first two tracks.

(have always prefered second session tbh. and remember when they both went out)

koogs, Friday, 3 December 2010 09:39 (fourteen years ago)

Damn, didn't vote for this in time but it would've been for Milk DX. Drane is great but hurts my ears on headphones.

Ditto, corey.

leTeReL (Leee), Saturday, 4 December 2010 01:58 (fourteen years ago)

I've been away, but I would have voted Milk DX way over Drane (a curate's egg since I find the high frequency way too irritating to enjoy). I love the one-note melody on Milk DX though. It sounds like someone trying to rap limply through a clarinet and is actually hilarious sometimes if you listen carefully. Love Inhake too - totally groovy shuffle funk - both tracks good for mixing into hip hop.

What are you doing here? (dog latin), Monday, 6 December 2010 10:09 (fourteen years ago)

don't get the high frequency irritation of drane, it's hardly ventolin...

e.g. delegates at a set age (ledge), Monday, 6 December 2010 10:53 (fourteen years ago)

It's even more high pitched than Ventolin though. Then again, I'm one of those people that finds it physically impossible to be in the same building as a TV left on standby.

i've never noticed anything that high pitched on it! maybe i'm too old. can't listen again right now as my ipod is dying :/

e.g. delegates at a set age (ledge), Monday, 6 December 2010 11:25 (fourteen years ago)

oh yeah i can hear it, duh. really doesn't bother me!

e.g. delete via naivete (ledge), Monday, 6 December 2010 23:25 (fourteen years ago)

doesn't bother me on my computer speakers (which are pretty good) but it hurts to listen to on headphones
