Could anyone help on this one? (i do not know the name of a song)

Here's my profuse entreat being spelled with the itching undercurrent of very palpable sense of futility, but, regardless of the afore-mentioned intuitions i'm deciding to give it a try.

I'm looking for the title of a song i came across somewhere around 2003/ 2004. I heard it on the radio and i'm sure it was a chillout/downtempo/trip-hop song in the mood of Lamb, Morcheeba etc.
The song was sung by a girl and i'm absolutely certain there was a line in the chorus "now, i'm afraid" where the word "now" was drawled so that it gave something like "noooooooow, i'm afraid".
Generally, the track was infused with overwhelming poignancy and drenched in affecting pensiveness, attempting at instilling languor in listeners, so i reckon i was nothing but just a typical chillout/downtempo/trip-hop song.
I'm sure it came out in 2003 or 2004, and it was realeased by a european label (scandinavian i guess)on a various artists type of album thing.
The last hint i can produce is that there propably was the letter "V" in the name of the project/band.

i reckon i'll never find what i'm looking for and since the expansion of the internet occured and i've found every single song i was ever looking for apart from that one, it sort of leaves me with muffled but tangible sense of frustration.

ok, i dont claim that i asked the most compelling of questions, probably it was the humdrum stuff you encounter on some everyman's forums, but i really thought someone could have possibly recalled the song. that's all, that's the whole knotty mystery.

ok, i know nobody gives a flying fuck about it anyway but i have finally found the song i was looking for. It was completely accidental and kinda funny how it came to my mind. I've no idea how a person's mind stores different facts but i do believe all is hidden somehow and just waits to be wrested from oblivion.
