lemon jelly - anyone heard the album yet ?

heard the single, but can't seem
to find the album anywhere on soulseek.

the single takes the pretty hackneyed
idea of sound effects/dialogue from
NASA recordings and such("the hatch is coming open...
i'm letting go..." etc.) and does something
great with it.

only murmur so far is muzik's comment
of the mr. scruff record that
'for a hint of how much better
this 2nd album should have been
check the lemon jelly platter...'

well i *would* if i could find it.

they make everybody else's use of
samples sound hopeless and tired.

i heard the Lemon Jelly Breezeblock mix last week and tyey were in fine form - played a few cuts off the new album and they sounded OK - hard to judge really...i think the album MAY falter in that it will be too similar to the first album but on the other hand that could be seen as reassuringly predictable ;)

Piecesboy - it _is_ on Soulseek... got it about a month ago... but theres not that many people with it yet. That could be put down to the lads with the files being "blessed" with 56k modems.... :{

As for what i think of it... well.... if youve heard last weeks Breezeblock then you already know that Elements is a really brilliant track... great opener to the album and one of the best things theyve ever done.... the "JOHN PAUL GEORGE RINGO" bit was cute...

The two best things on the record though IMO are Ramblin' Man and Nice Weather For Ducks.... the latter of these is absolutely amazing... (i think its Brian Cant that provides the vocal!) ... theres a couple of dud tracks on there unfortunately though...

The new single has a b-side called "Pushy" that was also on the Breezeblock set.... check that out if you can... 'tis the business aswell.
