oh god no that just looks like my record collection. i mean like dance music dance music. techno and house and that kinda thing.

scott seward, Thursday, 23 December 2010 01:14 (fifteen years ago)

too bad i'm not ambitious enough to become a stoner heavy groove dj king. i know i'd be a good one. i don't know if people could handle the oi!/hi-nrg/latin freestyle/biker rock/glam mixes i've been making though. they might not be ready.

i love mariah. i love how it sounds like every line is edited together from different tracks word by word. probably not far from the truth.

scott seward, Thursday, 23 December 2010 01:27 (fifteen years ago)

yeah there's some great vocal trickery goin' on on this one, culminating in the beatless part around the 4-minute mark

Dear scoot, it's a bit slower/chill and it's prob not what you were aiming for when you used the phrase, but I would TOTALLY classify this as "stoner/psychedelic dance music". It is awesome and I hope you love it; I mean, it's p much Spacemen 3 doing Kraftwerk.

two years pass...

This one starts out pretty mellow, but it gets more dancey as it progresses. The whole Dub Trees album is quite nice if you like psychedelic electronic dub.

last week i had a bit of a crusty dub-rave/planet dog revival at hq, most of which when sober was not worthy.

however, this dub trees album is very good.

suspect it was a one off ?
