Peacefrog records, search and destroy please. theres a couple of dbx 12s that are allright (spocks brain is quite good), and one of the planetary assault systems 12s isn't bad (still think the only great luke slater record is the clementine double pack on djax), isn't some of the recent gene farris stuff on peacefrog in the uk?

so, whats good, and whats bad?

The 10.100 and 10.100.02 double-disc comps are pretty solid overviews of everything they've released. The Theo Parrish and Moodymann releases are good but generally not as great as the producers' other work. Search those and various 12"s and albums by Norma Jean Bell, Dan Curtin, Glenn Underground. I can't think of anything I'd destroy outright; I'm not informed enough to give an opinion on anything outside of what I've mentioned (import prices, etc).

I haven't heard that much on this label, but I quite like David Alvarado's 'Maya Songs'. Lush, chunky, and groove-laden.

Charles Webster's Born on the 24th of July is an absolute must.

five years pass...

Has anyone ever ordered from Peacefrog directly? Any idea how efficient they are/whether I should order stuff from another retailer instead?

David Alvarado's Maya Songs and feat. the Sun Children are the best.
