So it's on in November, the 8th 9th and 10th in Southport Pontins. 99 pounds for 3 days including "fully equipped self catering apartment". Line up so far is easily enough to tempt me, X-Press 2, Avalanche's DJ Dexta, Dave Clarke, Deep Dish, Derrick Carter, Erol Alkan, Jon Carter, Justin Robertson, Medicine8 (live), Plump DJs, Stanton Warriors, Umek.
I only named the ones I like. Then the website, www.tribalgathering.co.uk has all this stuff about how it's the non commercial festival and rave on feel the vibe. Is this true? Any idea?
I mean chalets! Chalets! The party goes on all night with that kind of set up. I am not going on a summer holiday to go to this possibly.
Am I right or what? Anyone else going?

This sounds like ATP: thee dance years. Therefore I will want to go, but will be incapable of getting a chalet together owing to broke and/or rubbish friends, only to find out that most of the bastards have got last minute tickets and it's too late to book time off work.

re: the tribal gath website/flyer: http://www.tribalgathering.co.uk/weekender_welcome.html

Why must they call it "Tribal Gathering" anyway? The vibe is both hippie AND pretentious. Wick wick wack. Tribes don't have apartments, they have casinos.

i would go just to witness an Avalanches DJ set - they are phenomenal but i'll be very surprised if the event is a success, not sure why tho..
