OK, so I've always had a problem with consistently finding listings of new Tuesday releases for current or upcoming weeks -- some sites will have just a handful of the most high profile major label releases, some will list all the hundreds upon hundreds of albums being released and re-released that week and it's just a pain in the ass to sort through. so I think we as a board could probably share the legwork and pool resources to come up with an actual consistently useful guide to upcoming releases.
here's how I see it going down: anything that hasn't been listed yet on the thread that you want to add, just post the release date and then the albums, like this
January 4
artist - album
And I would say we probably don't need to bother with compilations, reissues, etc. unless they're particularly high profile. And I guess just anything you've heard of would be considered a notable enough new release to list, so y'know, definitely list relatively unknown indie stuff but if it's some random no-name thing nobody on the board is likely to have any interest in, don't bother. I figure since the first couple months of the year are pretty slow as far as new releases, we should be able to slowly get the hang of this, and have things up to date pretty far ahead of each release date (although it's probably pointless to go more than a couple months ahead since most release dates that far out are tentative and more often than not change). cool?

This is a great idea, but I think it might make more sense to maintain something like this as a single Tumblr post or something like that, where we could keep things in order according to release date. By doing this as an ILX thread, it's going to become really unwieldy to browse really quickly.
