this is gonna be totally epic

preview I heard got on my nerves as it went along, over-thought and over-wrought. Felt the same way about Wavves, tho'.

it's okay. some great songs (single 'weekend', 'imagine pt. 3', 'dance away'), some bland stuff here and there.

I thought the stuff I heard sounded pretty nice and breezy. I'm interested in hearing the whole thing.

Amazing album

thought the last one was kinda dull, kinda charming, with only a couple keepers. new one is some massive step up?

i haven't heard the leak yet, but i anticipate it will get a similar reaction as ariel pink's record last yr, where they'll ~transcend~ the lo-fi that tho charming was ultimately holding them back to make lush huge pop songs. also something about them being young

i haven't heard the whole album but the first two leaks are amazing imo -- cleaning up the production and adding that really lush reverb to the vocals was a great move imo

wanted to jump on the bandwagon for this, but after a couple listens it struck me as very, very boring.

b. not necessarily a bad thing, but it's not going toe-to-toe with attack ships on fire off the shoulder of orion.

that sounds indifferent, but i'm enjoying it well enough. reminded also of oasis and maybe wings. looking forward to listening to it a few times over the next few days, seeing how it settles in. nothing shocking, but it's not like they dishonor their influences. is it britpop revival time? i'd have thought we were still at least half a decade from that.

It reminds me of Mott The Hoople and I think it is fantastic.

Reckless was out of this when I stopped by last night, hopefully I'll pick it up soon.

Finally listened to the album, and nothing reaches the heights of "Weekend," IMO.

"Stage collapsed max almost got crushed by the tress. I hope pukkelpop has insurance bc all our shit is broke," Smith Westerns frontman Cullen Omori said on Twitter, according to Billboard.com.

Omori quickly deleted the message when the extent of the damage began to emerge.

"Apologize to anyone who mistook tweet. Wrote direclty after running off stage. Just found out the extent of damage. All of prays go out," the band wrote.
