I just listened to this at the record store and it seems kind of great, though very much straight down the middle of its genre. Wondering whether to purchase.

Anyway, another new one out today. Band is frightfully funky

Ritual in Repeat is still surprisingly awesome 80s pop mining. Haven't listened in ages. For some reason they remind me of a modernized version of like, Camera Obscura?

Have you heard their new one? It's not Ritual In Repeat but it's OK

I liked the singles but the album didn't connect with me

"needle and a knife" is my favorite of theirs, the harmonies are pure joy

Just listening now, thanks. Seems ok, but no songs musically as strong as Ritual's yet. xpost.

"never work for free" never fails to make me smile, it smells like my sister's 82 toyota corolla IN the summer of 1982.

the newest album came out last week and I think it's probably their strongest one? Some really great songs on it, "Let's Make a Mistake Tonight" in particular is a knockout, but I'm also enjoying "Glorietta" and "Pillow For a Cloud"

Swimmer and Pollen are easily the best albums they've done. They seem to have really found their form.

I like how their stuff consistently has a kind of good rhythm and beat, despite ostensibly being a songwriting duo

new album - apparently their last? - out on friday and it's very good once again, it perhaps lacks an absolute standout song like "let's make a mistake tonight" but i'm enjoying the way they've leaned further into dreampop / shoegaze landscapes.
