In what kind of prison can you get away with wearing your beard in a plait? I mean I'm not a Daily Mail reader but there's something to be said, in some cases, for the shocking reverberating clang of the prison gates behind you and some time spent in an unpleasant environment to give you pause for thought when you've murdered someone.

i don't think any cunt who enjoys black metal could argue that varg is anything other than brilliant as far as the genre goes. i listen to lindstrom more often though so voted for him.

Doran you were hardly the only guy on here going "ugggh Varg is evil" so I wasn't singling you out in that regard.

Douchery doesn't factor into this kind of A vs B thing for me and I think it's a pretty trite argument to make. I'm more familiar with Burzum but assume that I will be really into Lindstrøm when I listen to him seriously. I do find Varg intersting as a character, but don't think that his persona(lity) sends Burzum into any corners that haven't been capably explored by their peers. I'm voting for them partly because I really enjoy their horrible, morally abhorrent music and partly because I like voting for the underdog.

I would guess Lindstrøm sells more records in Norway alone, but neither is exactly a typical hitlist item.
